On her 50th Jubilee on August 27, 2011, Sister Jeanne Christensen addressed the congregation gathered to celebrate with her.
"I chose today’s readings because they reflect for me why I am a Sister of Mercy and how I came to be who I am as a Sister of Mercy. While it is my call – along with many other sisters – being a person of mercy is a call for all of us. We are all bound by faith and the desire to respond to what God asks of us."
