Sisters of Mercy and Mercy associates minister in many ways outside Mercy-sponsored institutions. They strive to be the presence of Christ in the world. For example, Sister Libby Fernandez is executive director of Loaves and Fishes in Sacramento, Calif., which feeds and counsels the homeless.

  • Sister Vicky lives in the Arch

    larch_laundry_for_ext_webSister Vicky Arndorfer has ministered to people with developmental disabilities as a full-time live-in assistant for The Arch in Clinton, Iowa, since April 2008. The Arch is a L'Arche Community, a non-profit organization providing Christian-based homes for people with intellectual disabilities.
